NOAA to Create Saltwater Angler Registry in 2010

NOAA released its final rule today to create a national saltwater angler registry of all marine recreational fishermen to help the nation better protect our shared marine resources.

NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service makes a decision

NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has decided not to implement the interim rule proposed by the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council (Council) to address overfishing of gag, red grouper, and black grouper in 2009.

The Charleston Angler 2009 Fly Fishing Schools

$75 per class, 9-3, includes use of equipment, lunch (for full day, paid schools) Capt. John Irwin, Certified Fly Fishing Instructor.

Last weeks fishing trip

Coastal Carolina Bass Anglers Tournament

The Coastal Carolina Bass Anglers club held a Tournament last weekend.  13 teams fished and collected 40 toys for Debi’s Kids. Wayne Clifton and Mark Danelon won the event with 14.07 lbs.
