The winner of this years Distance Fly-Casting Competition was Elliott Peralta. The competition was held at The Charleston Angler’s first annual Four Season Fly Festival on Saturday, Feb. 24th. The competition was tough, buy Elliott made it look easy. In doing this, he won a Clouser T-Shirt from The Charleston Angler. Congratulations to him from all The Charleston Angler’s staff. We’ll see you next year Elliott to defend your crown as Distance Casting Champion.

What was the winning distance?
He dumped an 8wt. fly rod, so I’d say about 110 feet. We weren’t really measuring, just keeping track by marking the farthest cast and seeing if anyone could beat it.
