Inshore Success in Charleston – by Capt. Stephen Fields

redfish, charleston, fishing, spottailIt was a perfect day. The wind had died down, it was warm, sunny…..What more could we ask for. Some Redfish!  We pulled up to the first spot and the reds were schooled up nicely. As I poled down the bank we picked off red after red on mud minnows and artificials. They were chewing. As they moved toward and away from us, we observed the reds rolling all over each other feeding. It was a great sight to see. When the redfish finally got too finicky we moved to some nearby docks and picked up a few drag screamers on cracked blue crab. Very rewarding day.
