Redfish are feeding in the marshgrass during the “tailing tides”… We call it “tailing” when thier tails stick up out of the water as they stir around the mud with thier noses while trying to catch a fiddler crab snack. In the Lowcountry, We call the highest tides in the summertime “tailing tides”. It’s a perfect time to get Redfish to eat a well presented crab fly.
Josh Whorton of the West Ashley store caught this nice Redfish while wading the flats last week.

Excellent post. I love the photo, it’s so cool.
I was just seeking this info for a while. After hours of continuous Googleing, at last I got it in your website. I wonder what’s the lack of Google strategy that don’t rank this kind of informative websites in top of the list. Generally the top web sites are full of garbage.
It’s the Man trying to hold us back. Just kidding. We try to get the tips and tricks from our Lowcountry Charter Guides and post it on our blog as much as possible. I’m glad you found this post helpful.
