Tropical Depression Henri is no longer

Poof. Henri is no longer, C’est la vie mon petit chou. The remnants of Henri are drifting North of Puerto Rico and will continue west with occasional convection flare-ups. A real mess of a tropical wave is is spritzing the ABC Islands north of Venezuela. This wave will continue into the eastern Caribbean without intensification over the weekend.  Don’t recall any storm forming that far south and  making a wicked left hook bee-line for the US east coast. Another  better organized wave near 35W in the Central Atlantic is tracking west in the Trade Winds. This wave is enjoying a low shear environment and has potential for slow development over the weekend. At 3673 miles from the Alps of Blythewood, I’ll hold off on the window tape and sandbags until at least Monday.

Closer to home, the only real weather hazard this weekend is rust.
