Tropical Update – Sept. 19, 2013

Good Morning,

Junior varsity activity in the tropics. From west to east:

95L rolls off the Yucatan with potential to be the next named storm before making landfall along the Mexican coast; vaya con huevos.

An area of thunderstorms and anonymous cloudiness southeast of the US east coast is drifting northeast. The National Hurricane Center is only giving this feature a 10-20% chance of developing into a sub-tropical storm… for Newfoundland.

TD Humberto clings to the last barotropic gasp of tropical identity as it chugs north before becoming absorbed in a frontal boundary late today or tomorrow. Bread and milk in France… scarce.
