HELP CENTER

What if I want something I can't find on your site?
We can probably order it for you. Either give us a call or stop by one of our stores.
Will my credit card be charged?
Funds will be held at purchase. You card will not be charged until your items are shipped.
How long will shipping take?
Most items ship within 1-2 days. Items ordered from the manufacturer may take 4-5 days before shipping.
What if some of my items arrive before others do?
Your order may be split if some items require ordering and others are ready to ship. You will not incur any additional charges from split orders.
What happens if I break my rod?
If you had a fish on, cry. Then check with your manufacturer's warranty guidelines.
What if there's a hook in my thumb?
You're not a Green Beret. As there are all worlds of hook types and areas of your body where they may come embedded, you're really best off seeking professional medical attention. We are, however, very flattered this FAQ was the first place you turned in your time of trouble.
What is gear ratio?
Gear ratio is how many revolutions a spool makes for one full turn of the handle. A higher gear ratio will give you a faster retrieve, while a lower gear ratio gives you more power for fighting larger fish.
What action rod is right for me?
Of course, there's no better way than to try them out yourself at our store, but as a general rule of thumb, experienced anglers typically prefer fast action rods. They are stiff when bent, straighten rapidly and demand good reflexes. Medium action rods are more forgiving, and are thus recommended for anglers either learning the sport, or looking for an all-around rod suitable for a broad spectrum of fishing situations. Slow action rods are just that - slow to straighten and very flexible. They can be particularly effective when in the hands of an angler with a very smooth casting motion.
How do I book a guided fishing trip?
Check with our store for the availability of our guides. In the event they are booked up, we may be able to recommend another local guide.
What if I'm from out-of-town and don't know where to fish?
Exploring the fishing stories on our site is a good place to start. If you still are without ideas, stop by one of our stores and one of our experts will help get you into the action as best he can.
Do you ever sponsor local angler's competing in tournaments?
Yes, we do. Please email us with the specifics of the tournament you are planning on entering, and we will get back in touch with you shortly.
